November 11 - A very important date in Australian history. Ned Kelly was hung on this date in 1880, Gough was fired in 1975, Lano and Woodley played their final ever show in 2006 and Rove McManus' wife Belinda Emmett passed away on this day the same year. It's also Rememberance Day. Not that anyone remembers because of all the other stuff.

murdered in cold-blood several police officers, held up banks, and pretty much scared the shite out of everyone for several years. His name was Ned Kelly - the son of an Irish immigrant who felt like an outsider because of his religion. So he got a gang together (with his brother Dan, and his buddies Steve and Joe) and made a suit of armour out of metal, including a face mask with a little slit for his eyes in it. Unfortunately he forgot to cover up his legs and was shot in the legs after setting fire to a pub at Glenrowan after a seige. Dan and Steve supposedly doed in the fire (although some think they escaped to Queensland), and Joe's body was hung on a door for several days, where people posed for photos with it. Ned was put on trial and hung (to death) on November 11, 1880. Ned Kelly is now a national hero. This date is very important in Australian History.
1975 CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS - No one cares about the details of what actually happened, but it resulted in Gough Whitlam being fired as Prime Minister and Sir John Kerr becomming the most hated man in the country.
